Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are one of B-Town's most-loved couples. If their on-screen chemistry makes many go weak in the knees, their real-life PDA has got them the tag of Bollywood's adorable jodi.

When many of their contemporaries keep their personal life under the wraps, Ranveer Singh has been vocal about his love for Deepika. And off late, Deepika, too, has been openly talking about her equation with Ranveer.

A month after Deepika called Ranveer 'mine', she talked about Ranveer as an actor, and how she likes to give him an honest feedback after each of his performances.

This January, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's Padmaavat hit the screens. While the two did not share single frame in the film, their individual performances were lauded by all. If Deepika got a thumbs up from fans for portraying Rani Padmini in the period drama, critics couldn't stop raving about Ranveer's Khilji act.

The 32-year-old actress told a magazine that Ranveer killed it as Khilji in Padmaavat.

"The first time I watched him onscreen since we never had any scenes together. I cannot think of any actor who would have done this role and brought in the kind of intensity he did with Khilji. It was an author backed part but he made Khilji his own. He gave justice to the menacing part of Khilji. Audiences had to hate him to love his work. Actors are usually scared of doing negative roles for the fear of being typecast," she told the magazine.

"But today the audiences have evolved. They are more aware. They hated Khiljis character but loved Ranveer in it," she added.

Ranveer has often said Deepika is critical of his work and considers him an average actor. To this Deepika replied, "I am very protective about Ranveer. When the world gushes on him, I am honest with my feedback of him.
